March 25, 2016 : Holy week is the week immediately before Easter. During holy week the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus is celebrated. The week starts with Palm sunday followed by Maundy Thursday, Good friday and Holy Saturday. 

Palm Sunday

On Palm Sunday the ceremony started at 7:30am with blessing of coconut Palm. Rev.Fr.Paul Rego blessed the coconut palm.

Maundy Thursday  

It Commemorates the Maundy and Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles.

On Maundy Thursday Jesus spread the message of brotherhood and created the sacrament of priesthood. This year Rev.Fr.Paul washed the feet of men and women to commemorate Jesus washing the feet of his apostles. During the homily Fr.Paul gave examples on how live the Eucharist in our daily life.

Good Friday

Good Friday is a Christian religious holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. The holiday is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday.The ceremony started at 4:15pm with the way cross to commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
