Pamboor or Shanthipura Church was a part of Shirva and Belle parishes. Because of the long distance to these parishes and the crossing of the river, the people decided to have a church here and in 1965, 2.47 acres of land was bought for Rs.2,400/- and a small chapel was constructed on it.
